About the Role
We’re building a team of freelance content creators across the GTA to help showcase poetry as an experience—one that unfolds in real time, full of emotion, connection, and artistry. This is a freelance, project-based role, paid either hourly ($20/hr) or per event, depending on the project scope. You will document Poesy’s live experiences, capturing the essence of poetry through high-quality video and photography using an iPhone 15 (or newer). Creators will have the option to deliver raw content, organize footage into files, or lightly edit based on their skills and interests.
Location: Across the GTA (multiple freelancers will be hired for different areas)
Compensation: $20/hr or per-event pay, depending on the project
What You'll Do
- Capture high-quality video and photography at Poesy events
- Use an iPhone 15 (or newer) to shoot natural, immersive content
- Adapt quickly to fast-paced, live environments, capturing moments as they unfold
- Deliver raw footage, organize files, or provide light edits based on your strengths
Who You Are
- A visual storyteller who loves capturing the little moments
- Skilled in using a phone to capture high quality video & photos
- Able to work independently and adapt to spontaneous, live event settings
- Passionate about capturing people, presence, and creative expression
- Must have your own equipment—an iPhone 15 (or newer) for video and photography (of course Androids are welcome but must be newer model)
- Comfortable handling raw content, organization, or light editing
