Glimmer Crawl: Yap and Write is not your average Saturday stroll. It’s social, creative, and definitely better than another Saturday doom-scroll.
We’ll wander through inspiring places together, spotting the “glimmers” – those tiny sparks of beauty in everyday life – and turning them into words of your own. A poet will guide you with prompts and tips so you can surprise yourself with poems you didn’t know were in you.
We’ll end with a picnic where we’ll snack and fire up the typewriters to turn our handwritten poems into typewritten keepsakes. Whether you’re feeling creatively stuck or just want to try something new, this one’s for you (yes, even if you haven’t written since high school!).
Space is limited. No writing experience needed—just bring your curiosity and a comfy pair of shoes.
By the end, you’ll walk away with:
- 1 typewritten poem inspired by your walk
- 2–3 handwritten pieces from the journey
- A retro-style notebook and pen
What to Expect:
- A slow-paced walk (approx. 2 km with breaks)
