Date: August 16, 2025
Time: 2:00–5:00 PM
Location: Downtown Toronto (meeting spot shared 2 weeks before)
Glimmer Walk: Yap and Write is a low-key, feel-good poetry workshop on foot where we spot “glimmers” or the beauty in everyday life. Part city stroll, part creative reset, we’ll wander through downtown, stop at a few hidden-gem spots, and write things down as we go. Guided lessons and prompts will help you notice what’s around you, say what you’re actually feeling, and turn thoughts into something beautiful.
We’ll wrap it all up with a little outdoor picnic and a typewriter session to turn our observations into typewritten keepsakes. Whether you’re feeling creatively stuck or just need a breath of fresh air, this one’s for you.
By the end, you’ll walk away with:
- 1 typewritten poem inspired by your walk
- 2–3 handwritten pieces from the journey
- A retro-style notebook and pen
What to Expect:
- A slow-paced walk (approx. 2 km with breaks)
- Guided writing stops with creative prompts
- Gentle structure and space to explore on your own
- Final stop picnic with snacks and typewriter station
- Dedicated time to write and reflect
What’s Included:
- All writing materials (notebook, pen, typewriter paper)
- 1 typewritten takeaway poem + a welcome piece from us
- Light picnic snacks and drinks
- A mindful, creative experience in the city
Space is limited. No writing experience needed—just bring your curiosity and a comfy pair of shoes.
