What to Expect:
- Creative Guidance: You’ll be guided through thoughtful writing prompts by an award winning instructor who caters to all skill levels.
- Feather Pens & Typewriters: Step into a creative mindset using vintage typewriters and classic writer’s tools.
- Curated Writing Kit: Use and take home a beautiful kit featuring premium stationery, a notebook, quill pen, and a vintage-style brass clip.
- Typewritten Keepsakes: Leave with two original, typewritten letters — one to yourself and one by someone you bring or meet.
- Wax Seals: Pour and stamp your own wax seals to give your letters a timeless finish.
- Spring-Inspired Space: Surround yourself with dreamy décor and get cozy in a lounge that encourages conversation, connection, and creativity.
- Light Refreshments: Small bites and bubbly (or mocktails) to keep the inspiration flowing.
In the first half of this session, you’ll be guided through thoughtful writing prompts and guiding writing exercises that help you explore your personal “folklore” — a reflection on who you are and who you’re becoming. Surrounded by curated spring décor, vintage typewriters, and classic writing tools (e.g., feather pens, vintage typewriters, retro-notebooks etc.), you’ll write a typewritten letter to yourself rooted in themes of growth, transformation, and new beginnings.
In the second half, you’ll connect with someone you bring or meet through a unique storytelling exchange. With the help of conversation cues and note-taking prompts, you’ll listen closely for the words, memories, and moments that light them up — the details that shape their personal folklore. Then, using your reflections, you’ll craft a second typewritten letter inspired by their story — a relaxed and meaningful way to co-create something beautiful together.
