Typewriters & Bridgerton, Toronto
Date: Sunday, March 29
Time: 1-4 PM
Location: Toronto (exact location shared with registered guests 1 week in advance).
Join us for Typewriters & Bridgerton: a literary gathering in Toronto inspired by Lady Whistledown, the iconic voice of Netflix’s Bridgerton.
This is an afternoon for those who love a good book, good conversation, and the romance of a slower era where quills and literature made life undeniably spicier.
This 3-hour experience unfolds in two parts:
We begin with The Reading Party.
Arrive with a book you love, convince someone else to take it, and leave with one you can’t wait to read. Expect lively persuasion and thoughtful exchanges in an informal setting with tea and sweets as you mingle and move through the room until you find your next read.
Then, we’ll turn to typewriters & quills.
You’ll quite literally dip your quill in ink and step back into the 19th century as you write two confessional letters: one to yourself and one to someone else in the room. Guided prompts and playful “spill the tea” rounds make this accessible for all skill levels (yes, even if you haven’t written since high school!).
Then, at the typewriter station, you’ll type a note to your future self to place inside your new book, and receive one from another guest about what they hope the story brings into your life.
We’ll close by sealing our letters in wax.
You’ll leave with:
- A new book
- A handwritten letter
- A typewritten keepsake
- Letters sealed in wax
Dress the part and take your place at society’s most anticipated literary affair. This is designed for all skill levels (yes, even if you haven’t written since high school!).
Spots are limited.
